Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is Pakistani government agency. It is responsible for the establishment, operation and maintenance of telecommunications. Headquarters locates in Islamabad. PTA also has regional offices it locates in Karachi, Lahore and other cities.
Responsibility and Duty
PTA functions and duties under the low of Pakistan.
It protects the rights of license. Its decision, rules and regulation must be without and discrimination. So, If someone loose or get Damages due to decision, PTA will responsible to hear.
In case PTA found guilty, it will bear the damage and cost. PTA claims that all the Permission and authentication given to Communication center is protected.
By November 2013, (PTA) reported that overall cellular phone subscription has reached 132 million. As with increase of 25 million new numbers in the past two years
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has warned marketers through public notice in newspapers, not to send consented, unwanted, misleading, SPAM, fraudulent, and/or illegal text messages or calls.
PTA asked the people of Pakistan to report such kind of useless incident.
How to Stop SPAM/Unwanted SMS/Calls?
So, If you are tire of unwanted messages that u didnt subscribed for, then SMS the following details to 9000
- Sender’s cell number
- Your cell number
- Any details that you may want to add and Send this information to 9000.
Note: Only in 10 Paisas including tax u will get rid of that spammers.
